Environmental Kuznets curve (EKC)

Part of the IB-HL topic on Environmental change. The EKC theorises that there is a link between increasing prosperity & environmental degradation / pollution, whereby in the early stages of development pollution increases, but at a certain point this will change and pollution will fall. \n\nThis PP attempts to specify what the EKC is, highlight evidence supporting it, evidence against it, leaving students to examine whether the theory holds.
