This Classroom Secrets resource learning activity enables children to explore combining small amounts. The small image cards can be cut out by an adult or the child could do this as part of the activity. Children are asked to place two cards in the circles, add the quantities together to work out the total. Encourage subitising where possible. Children could be given a target number, e.g. ‘Find all the ways to make 4.’
