Using the concept of lengths of snakes, I used jelly snakes alongside these activities to engage the children, activities to encourage children to find the difference between two lengths.
For lower achieving pupils is an activity for them to use non standard units to compare the lengths of the snakes.
For higher achieving pupils, they are required to measure in centimetres and find the difference in centimetres.
