First Chapter Day is a way of introducing your students to a range of texts and literature that they may not normally choose. You are actually expanding their reading repertoire!
On First Chapter Day the teacher reads a chapter or a couple of pages of a text.
Each student has a activity sheet to complete after they have listened to the first chapter/first few pages. In this set there is an introduction page and 6 activities. You can print these as masters and use repeatedly!
