Children are presented with varying arrangements of penguins from 1 to 5 in the five-frame. Children are invited to subitise (see without counting) and click on the matching numeral. Supports symbolic number recognition of numbers from 1 to 5. This resource is 30 slides in length and fully editable.
Easily adaptable to create other arrangements of five within the frame. Includes penguin 5 frames to print for continuous provision activities (e.g., matching the frame with the number digit card; adding one more penguin to the frame; picking two frames and calculating how many altogether etc…).
