Further Trigonometry - 'Total it!'

Group work activity to review work on Sine, Cosine and Area of a Triangle Rules and Formulas.

This activity is designed to give responsibility to every member of the group by splitting the work, but coming together to get a final answer and search for each others mistakes.

There are 8 shape cards, each set of cards contain 4 different questions testing a different aspect of the Trigonometry Rules. Working in groups of 4 (3 if numbers don't fit) pupils should complete one card each and round their answer to 1 decimal place. They take their 4 answers and 'Total it!' and give their final answer only to the teacher who will confirm if it is correct or incorrect. If the answer is incorrect, pupils in the group should swap cards with another member and re-do their question, to check the answers and find the mistake.
