Gap analysis data sheet for AQA English Language results (first examining 2017)

I have created a spreadsheet for the AQA English Language papers to help create a gap analysis from your raw data.

This has been really useful for identifying gaps in knowledge of students and addressing these in class of intervention.

There are three documents included:

• Data sheet
• Student feedback sheet
• Information / instruction sheet

Data sheet
The data sheet has multiple functions once you have put in your raw data for each question.

• On the first sheet it will calculate your score and grade for each section, paper and overall. It will also RAG colour code the raw data automatically to show where students are achieving bottom/middle/high on each question. This will help to identify individual and group misconceptions.

• On the second tab there is a break down of each section, calculating what percentage of the class / cohort are at each grade. It also calculates the percentage of students passing each question.

**Student feedback sheet **
This has a breakdown of each question and asks students to fill in how they felt about the exam question and to set personal targets moving forward. The tasks are at the end of the sheet.
