Geography Handbook

This is a Geography Handbook I wrote when I was invited to set up the geography department at the International School of Bremen, initially Geography was to be introduced in the middle years (Grades 7-9) and so the handbook was written to meet the requirements of the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) programme that I piloted and taught in the school.
Although it was written specifically to meet the requirements of the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) programme , I would hope users of this resource could find and use the generic aspects of the handbook.
The contents are as follows:

• A Geography preamble and rationale statement,
• A statement of what the teaching of Geography can and does offer to the whole curriculum.
• The planning framework for the written scheme of work.
• A statement of how the assessment and reporting of the subject will be achieved.
• An overview of the International Middle Years Curriculum programme.
• Detailed lesson plans for the delivery of the Geography programme to meet the requirements of the IMYC.
• An annex detailing an assessment policy and a marking and feedback policy.
