This presentation was created to support Year 8 KS3 students working on an Art home learning project about globalisation and Art. It introduces them to:
- The term 'globalisation'
- The spread of artwork from ancient civilizations such as the Romans
- The impact of trade along the Silk Road
- The impact of colonialism on the spread of artwork and art techniques
- A comparison of very local artists such as John Constable with modern global artists such as Peter Fischli and David Weiss.
This presentation was originally supported by a Moodle-based self-marking test to assess student understanding. Unfortunately I can't upload this kind of resource but hopefully the presentation itself will be of interest and use.
