Make sure children cut deep enough into the blocks so the ink does not go into the marks, but not so deep that it breaks the block. Instructions are provided, as well as how to stretch the more able in the ‘Challenge’. Repeated prints mean printing again straight after the first print without adding more ink. You can make a multi-coloured print by, for example, rolling each half of the block a different colour. The colours picked can reflect the mood of the event. It could even be a debate: Was this a sad or happy day? Why?
