This is a simple worksheet that I used as a discussion text followed by a written and drawing activity. The first part of it is simply taken from the book as an introduction - I even matched the typeface!

Before I even read the story with the children we just looked at the front cover and discussed what we thought it was about.

I typed up and printed off some of the more unfamiliar vocabulary and talked about the words and their meanings, again before we even opened the book. I find that this really helps the children with the flow and their understanding as you don't have to keep stopping to verbalise unfamiliar words and/or explain the meaning in the context of the story.

Very disappointing! It is resources like this that put me off buying from Tes. £2 for some of the book typed and 3 questions. Stick to doing my own resources from now on.
