Historical Initial Challenge 1

Presentation developed to be used as a starter in KS3/4 history. Students randomly select two initials from a given list and are challenged to think of significant historical figures with those initials. The activity lends itself to individual or group work and class can be split into teams to promote an element of competition. Focus is maintained by the embedded 60 second timer for each challenge. Answers generated can be springboard for wide ranging discussions on the significance of the individuals named. The whole presentation has 16 potential activities with hyperlinks embedded throughout. Teachers advised to trial presentation before students see it.
