• This teaching resource explains the work of Dr Sheldon Turner who leads the GENIUS (Geo-Engineering Innovations through Undergraduate Scholarship) Program at Triton College in Illinois, USA, with the aim of making geoscience accessible to all.
• This resource also contains an interview with Dr Turner.
• The activity sheet provides ‘talking points’ (based on Bloom’s Taxonomy) to prompt students to reflect on Dr Turner’s work and a challenge to design a geoscience programme promoting diversity and inclusion in the field.
