While working with students who were reading the novel for part of their English class. I found alot of students who struggled with reading large pieces of text and then finding information in text to create a summary.
Summaries of the chapter were used to talk through topics raised in the text and also help with revision. I created summaries that used pictures, captions and different fonts to create a piece of work that reduced the amount of text and …used a picture to say what it needed, if that makes sense!
The response from students was really good and I have tweaked chapters based on thier advice & comments.
