This lesson was planned for a Year 7 class and uses the advert of Mog's Christmas Calamity from a couple of years ago to encourage students to describe atmosphere and explore character. Using the advert and analysis and inspiration students plan and write a short sequel story. There is enough here for two Christmas lessons.
