Year 7 introduction to History unit. This lesson introduces students to the idea of interpretation (which is within AO4 at GCSE). Richard III is used as the focus of study although the lesson will not give away too much by way of information about the Princes in the Tower should you be looking at this later on. It relies on students knowing what a hypothesis (an initial idea, based on limited evidence that can be tested by further study) is in order to do the engagement activity. The lesson plan is ready to filled in for any potential observation and includes clear reference to differentiation and assessment.
