Suitable for Higher GCSE and AS level this task models the height data taken from the pilot of CensusAtSchool to a Normal distribution. Pupils are asked to check the data against a Normal and to calculate some Z values, relating them back. (Normal distribution and sampling for KS5 S1.)

This would be excellent, particularly for AS level (or A2 depending on which examination board you use, OCR, MEI has the normal distribution on S2). A very good idea to have students checking to see if the data fits a normal distribution.
