Providing the students with key arguments against and for the prospect of Jekyll being to blame for the death of Lanyan, these worksheets offer a great opportunity for students to compete in a class/group debate.
Using these at the end of studying the novel The Strange Case of Doctor Jekyll and Mr Hyde, this task could be used as a great gateway into a speaking and listening task. Providing students with “thought” questions at the bottom of the sheet, they also have to opportunity to do their own research and thinking to add to the current points that are stated on the worksheets.

Preferably aimed at GCSE Level students
