Curve stitching, or string art, is a beautiful way of combining geometry with art. These wonderful designs are created on different shaped grids, and straight lines are sewn or drawn to look like curves. A nice end of term activity. Students will be able to create the designs shown, using a Pencil and Ruler. Less able students might require a template, of a square, equilateral triangle, and a regular pentagon. Can be used in conjunction with 'Properties of Shapes'.

The students really enjoyed this resource, and extended their designs with hexagons and octagons
