This lesson is part 1 of 4 lessons that cover the entire content of Learning Aim B.
This lesson is designed to build skills that are listed as part of the evidence required in both Learning Aim B and C.
Layout of the lesson
•Introducing the main components of learning aim B
•What are the scientific variables with lots of practice identifying the variable
•How variables are written when drawing tables and graphs with an error identification task
•What a hypothesis is, what a strong hypothesis looks like and a structure that students can follow. Students then practice identifying whether statements listed can be considered a hypothesis or not
•How to write a scientific method with content covering the justification of equipment
•Task where students identify the errors/missing information from an example method and rewrite it to improve it
•How to Harvard and Vancouver reference with practice task
PRINTING REQUIREMENTS - 1 worksheet per student, 2 to a page
