An informational writing unit and reading comprehension activities about the Titanic disaster of 1912. The unit looks into the start of the maiden voyage, the crash into the iceberg, the evacuation and rescue attempts, and the ships legacy afterwards. The bundle has four separate lessons and is perfect for students in Year 3 or Year 4. All texts then have an extension activity for those fast finishers and answers, for teacher use, are on the final page of the document. It also contains a crossword activity to consolidate learning. The Informational Writing Unit is split into three lessons. The first lesson is interactive and involves them cutting out facts, and then sorting these facts into paragraphs. In the second lesson the children need to use these facts to write four paragraphs.
