Lost Hearts Gothic MR James KS3 / KS4 Comprehension, Textual Analysis and Original Writing

This extract gives weaker students a simplified and broken down way of accessing a 19th Century fiction text in a written Gothic / Supernatural style. The first part poses comprehension and language activities to ensure the text is carefully read. The second part gives questions which follow the style of Language Paper 1 for AQA - analysing language, writing about structure and evaluating a section of the extract. Easily adapted to be more challenging for GCSE

There are writing activities to include vocabulary building, as well as the usual exam style writing activity, with 2 writing options.
