This resource includes a full discussion of Act 3 scene 1 and the scheming of Macbeth with the two murderers. It considers the position of Banquo, his suspicions and the danger he poses to Macbeth’s future. There are guided questions to tackle the soliloquy and ensure full understanding of the key concerns of Macbeth. This is followed by a slightly modified and helpfully glossed section of the scene for 5 actors to allow some interactive learning to take place as students stage their own scenes. Finally there are two exam-style questions with hints and reminders that follow both AQA and Edexcel exam formats to continue the practice of formal responses as the course progresses.
