A fun booklet for your students to make when celebrating and learning about the Māori New Year. Various templates to suit your students.

Each booklet is made from one piece of A4 paper.
Write, colour, cut and staple.

Option A - with text:
This template has text with 24 missing words. Each of the missing words shows the first letter. For example: 'Matariki is a c_______ of s______" (cluster/stars). Answers are included. The pages include information about:
♦ WHAT - what is Matariki?
♦ WHO - who celebrates Matariki?
♦ WHEN - when is Matariki celebrated?
♦ WHERE - where is the Matariki star cluster?
♦ WHY - why is Matariki celebrated? (past and present)

Option B - write your own text:
This template is blank for your students to write their own information. There are 2 sets of templates – lined and unlined pages. The only page with writing on it is the cover page.

Cover Pages
There are 12 different cover pages for each set of templates.
♦ 5 female images.
♦ 5 male images.
♦ Māori pattern.
♦ Plain (No picture, just the word ‘Matariki’ and a space to write your name)
