This is a short Christmas themed activity related to reading GRID REFERENCES.
It is presented to the students in a timed PowerPoint. There is a short section at the beginning that gives the instructions with two example grids and how to present their answers.

When it gets to the puzzles it is intended that once started they are not stopped until the end of the presentation. This should encourage concentration and the opportunity to miss out ones they can’t spot and move on the the next.
Each timer is set to 20 seconds (which was enough for my 8 year old grandson when I tested it out with him). Even the adults I have shown this to have enjoyed the challenge.
The time can be adjusted in the Animation section within PowerPoint

There is a separate PowerPoint with the answers and the puzzle as separate images in a zipped file.
