Children recognise 2D shapes including pentagons, hexagons and octagons including those which are irregular and describe their properties. They sort a range of 2D shapes and spot the odd one out. Numbers of lines of symmetry are introduced, children complete symmetrical shapes and find several lines of symmetry on 2D shapes.
