I made these for a Year 5 lesson. I set up the tables as shown in the pictures. There were four triangles and one rectangle for the lower ability tables, four triangles and one quadrilateral for the middle ability and polygons (at least one quadrilateral and two hexagons) for the higher ability. I modelled how to use a protractor and asked them to measure the angles on the starter activity.
Then, in ability pairs, the children had to measure their angles and write the angles on the table in whiteboard pen. They then chose two triangles and recorded their results on the worksheet, checking all angles add up to 180 degrees. There is an extension task on all worksheets if they finish.
