30 sentences/statements, each with a deliberately missed out word.
There is a line space at the end of each to record answers. There is an obvious intended choice to go for, for each omitted word, with only one or two have more than one option.
A fair few of the sentences sound funny when read out loud
The idea is to show pupils how accidentally missing a word out of a sentence can wreck the impact of a sentence, especially when writing a story for your teacher.
The remedy is to read through your story back to yourself, or, better still get a peer to read it as they are more likely to spot omitted words than the writer is.
