Midweek multiple choice seemed to be success. Gave the sheet as a starter on a Tuesday, students answered the questions, we marked them. Then on Wendesday, they did similar quiz underneath. Good to build up confidence.
A number of different quizzes I wrote and used last year. Do check for mistakes, I am sure there will be one or two.
