Schools Minister Nick Gibb congratulates thousands of pupils for their hard work as provisional Key Stage 2 test results are published, as well as teacher assessment scores, for Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3. He underlines the importance and value of proper externally marked tests and stresses the need for a greater focus and emphasis on the teaching of reading and maths in primary schools.
