Match the 6 main quadrilaterals to their names. Nothing fancy. One sheet of A4 for 4 students so light on photocopying. Can be used as a diagnostic starter or plenary, I designed it for a low ability group revising for their GCSE. I also got them to mark on equal sides and angles.

Simple yet effective matching activity! I think this is a great pre/post-test too.

A useful activity - will also ask them to mark on angles and parallel sides - you'd be surprised at how many year 11s don't know where an acute or obtuse angle is in a shape!
