This module is suitable for teaching narrative writing to GCSE students or getting Year 9 GCSE ready. Writing skills are best developed through writing workshops with ample opportunity to practice the essential skills needed in story writing. This module guides learners to practice the following:
- Generating and sequencing ideas
- Writing engaging openings
- Setting and symbolism
- Characterisation and dialogue
- Redrafting and effective endings
Students will be directed to reflect on their writing using a student friendly markscheme.
