This pupil reflection sheet is designed as a gentle follow-up activity to support reflection at the start of the New Year, without turning January into a high-pressure reset.

The activity encourages pupils to recognise their existing strengths, reflect with gratitude and consider growth in a way that feels realistic, optional and supportive.

What the reflection sheet includes

  • Prompts to recognise effort, resilience and personal strengths
  • A low-pressure gratitude section
  • Optional reflection on gentle goals or habits
  • Space to look ahead without rejecting the current self
  • Clear reassurance that pupils can complete as much or as little as they choose

The activity:

  • avoids deficit language
  • does not require sharing responses
  • is suitable for tutor time, PSHE or pastoral sessions
  • works well with mixed-attainment and mixed-experience groups
