A tarsia (triangle) puzzle covering pretty much all of the knowledge required for the B5 Growth and Development unit. I have had great success using this puzzle (and other tarsia puzzles) as follows:
1. Give the students (in groups of 3) the table with the questions and answers on and get them to learn it - 10 minutes.
2. Get them to do the tarsia puzzle IN SILENCE using whiteboard pens to communicate with each other.
The 'in silence' bit has worked really well for chatty classes if you take score of how many times they speak and knock if off their total at the end.
