A unit of work based on the film Paddington by Heyday films. It includes grammar activities such as how to use inverted commas and how to use passive and active voice.
The unit also includes modelled writing of a newspaper report alongside differentiated newspaper planning sheets.
There is also a lesson on writing a review of the film.
I used this with a Year 6 class as part of a two week unit on film using Paddington as a stimulus.
It has excellent cross-curricular links to PSHE and Citizenship; lots of opportunity to discuss similarities between Paddington and refugees.
