Paper 1 Question 3 6 step method

Many students struggle with this question, so I have developed a new approach to help them produce more rewardable responses quickly and efficiently-especially given the time pressure of this 8-mark task. Too often, students rely on a basic narrative structure - ‘this happens at the start, this happens in the middle, this happens at the end’ - which typically limits them to around 2 marks. This method is designed to secure credit from the very first sentence, guiding students towards more analytical and focused responses. Even if they do not complete all six steps due to time constraints, they will still produce an answer that can reach Band 3 or 4.
