This lesson is for Key Stage 3 students. It is on persuasive writing and focuses on repetition and emotive language.

The final task asks students to write to their headteacher to persuade them whether or not they think plastic should be banned.

Also included is a piece of persuasive writing from the Surfers Against Sewage website about their initiative Plastic Free Communities. There is also a sheet on anaphora and anadiplosis to stretch higher-attaining students.
