This lesson covers:
•What are the phases of a wave and students to sketch and label a wave with the phases in wavelength, radians and degrees followed by a brief understnading check
•Explanation of phase difference (in phase, out of phase and antiphase) with a clock analogy. Followed by student task to build understanding and notes, along with challenge that uses skills learned in the previous lesson using v= fλ
•Content covered on what coherent waves are and superposition (constructive and destructive interference) followed by student take to build understanding on the key principles and application to water waves.
•Last task is a extension to link the topic to real world examples to engage learners where there is a short comprehension on noise cancelling headphones and anti-reflective coating on glasses. Questions are based on the content in the text and applying the knowledge they have learned during the lesson to further explain the content in the text
