Lesson I created for my mid/lower ability Y8 group. Following Tommo's revelation of his father's death and him feeling at fault students reflect on whether he is truly to blame. They then write persuasive speeches as though they are defence or prosecution barristers at a trial. There are some sentence starters and scaffolds in place. They can then read them out at the end as a bit of a competition.
