I have created these reading comprehension texts and questions to support UKS2 pupils (Years 5–6) while learning about Early Islamic Civilisation and the city of Baghdad.
The pack includes a mix of fiction and non-fiction texts designed to give children a variety of reading experiences while deepening their understanding. Each text links to key knowledge from the history unit but can also be used as a stand-alone comprehension activity for English lessons.
