This 7 slide PowerPoint can be used to introduce or remind students of the meaning of Remembrance Day. It then explains the importance of soldiers of colour during WW1. Finally it focuses on the life of Black British soldier Walter Tull, including a beautiful poem by Musa Okwonga.

This resource is intended for use in assemblies or tutor time, as it encourages quiet listening and reflection time (it does not include activities for students to complete, however the teacher could adapt it to become a History lesson if desired).
