Rime of the Ancient Mariner full term SOW + resources mixed ability

Full term SOW to teach Rime of the Ancient Mariner to a year 7 mixed ability class. All resources are differentiated including tasks and annotations, with examples and writing frames for all extended writing tasks. Used successfully. Tasks are differentiated using ‘core, challenge, super challenge’ with questions differentiated too (ref/ orange/ green.) Includes some opportunities for creative writing but as it’s a reading unit mostly tasks promote skills of annotations/ textual analysis and PEE. Lots of modelled exemplars and writing frames and links to the context. Resources such as extracts t the end of each lesson.
