A History Rocks! resource.

Done with a splash of humour, this resource looks at the reasons men signed up to fight in the First World War.

There are three levels of differentiation: the first level has just the questions. Level 2 has sentence starters. Level three has sentence starters and a number of hints, ensuring that there is a level for each pupil. All pupils answer the **Understanding **questions which will give them a basic understanding of the topic. The Historical Enquiry questions extend them more and require pupils to expand and explain their thinking; the answers are subjective. There is also a Creative Work section where they can demonstrate their learning and understanding in a creative manner.
There is also an exercise where pupils analyse and comment on some famous WW1 propaganda posters and rate them accordingly.
