This differentiated SMSC/Literacy lesson plan focusses on the theme of ‘Responsibility’ (a key learning behaviour and a core value for many schools) and is aimed at Year 6 children but could be adapted for other year groups.
The learning objective is: Explain the consequences of being responsible and irresponsible.
Children will do this through activities including discussion and through writing two contrasting diary entries.
The lesson includes success criteria, a pair work starter, a written activity with a detailed model (which explains how to model write the example given so that pupils are able to contribute to both content and vocabulary), resources for three-way differentiation and resources for the reflective plenary.
I have not been observed teaching this particular lesson but in all recent observations I have been graded Outstanding.
