Social messages unit that is built upon the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The ambition of the unit is to students understanding of how artists communicate a message in their artwork, and how as a member of society can we present our own understanding of the global issues.

This is a complete unit of work which includes tasks, assessment points, phases of experimentation, development of ideas and the final outcome. Throughout the document there is examples of students outcomes and relevant artist stimulus as a content/concept focus.

The unit of work moves students through various stages of experimentation with media and materials which are supported by artist content. Students are exposed to various issues to respond to using several forms of stimulus from music to global news and TV shows.
