This detailed and exciting ‘Spelling Activity’ worksheet allows children in your class to CHOOSE what tasks they want to do for homework and when. It is designed to be given out on a Monday, and it will give two weeks worth of spelling related homework to the child. I used this while teaching 6th Class in Ireland and it was very successful.
The child chooses two activities to do per night but they must complete the 5 activities at the top of the page before the end of the two week period. It allows the child to choose shorter activities when they have a busy evening ahead, or longer activities when they have more time available. It encourages the child to be creative and they enjoy the fact that they have a certain level of ‘control’ over their homework.
