Classic reaction time testing with 30cm ruler. Sheet is double-sided. One side has a table to convert centimeters to milliseconds. The other side has two tables for each hand and an empty chart to do a bar chart. Students are asked to make predications and write a conclusion.

I have been doing reaction time with a ruler for years. I created my own paper/lab , boys vs girls. This lab sheets finally gives me the milliseconds chart that I never had. I also like the idea of doing left vs right hand. We can also discuss whether your dominate hand is quicker than your non-dominate hand. This can also lead into Right handed people vs left handed people. etc. I like the graphing of all the trials. I am going to have the students find the average of all the trials. Add an average line across the chart and visually see how many trials were above and below the average.
