Literacy planning aimed at year 1 and 2 based on the fantastic book ‘The Lost words’. If you haven’t seen this book then seek it out, absolutely fabulous for all age groups. On first impressions the content seems too hard for KS1 but there is so much you can do with this book. We took the ‘spell book’ approach which our children loved.
This planning covers fiction and non-fiction objectives and word and sentence level work. Easily adaptable. This was used for a whole terms work on this book alongside linked topic work.
A range of resources I created also included. If resources are mentioned in the planning and not included they have been downloaded from other members or from other resource sites and easily available.
