This is a comprehensive resource for teaching Wordsworth’s ‘The Prelude’ (extract) for the AQA GCSE anthology Power and Conflict. In total there are 6 pages of worksheets and 3 complete lesson plans to assist you in teaching the poem.

Lesson foci include understanding the poem, analysing the language used and allowing students to write detailed analytical responses using the poem as evidence. Worksheets include activities to help studying the poem closely, locating techniques and planning analytical responses, as well as checking and editing completed work. Lesson two also includes a bingo-style game to add some fun to locating techniques in the poem. Writing topics are drawn from the topic Power and Conflict to prepare students for GCSE exams, however this resource is also suitable for teaching the poem in other jurisdictions.

Most worksheets are included in both Word and PDF form to prevent any loss of formatting whilst allowing for modification to suit your needs.
