Three fully resourced lessons to introduce and analyse The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe. Also includes a non-fiction writing lesson based on the story.
In the first lesson, students complete a murder mystery activity to make predictions about the murder based on evidence. Students have the opportunity to practise their oracy skills.
In the second lesson, students recap their knowledge of the story and analyse the language used.
In the third lesson, students write a newspaper article to report on the death.
All three lessons include challenge tasks and support to allow for effective differentiation.
